Field Trip

Once again I love our field trips. Thursday we go to Florence and then the next day we are off to visit two other Tuscan towns. The first stop was to Buonconvento where we just listened to our Professor Alessandro talk about various things. This is another medieval city surrounded by walls important in history. We walked around and got the most delicious pastries. Ok I always say things are the best and the most delicious I am sorry for the small vocabulary and my limited ability to describe my divine food experiences. The next stop was to Monte Oliveto and we visited this huge monastery. Alessandro gave us history and talked about these frescoes that cover the wall. We wandered through the cathedral and extremely old library. Other than the monastery there was not a whole lot to see except it is beautiful. Peter arranged for us to eat a yummy lunch at a local restaurant when our sightseeing was over.
