Cinque Terre
We spent the weekend in the touristy little beach towns called Cinque Terre. As always it was beautiful and we had a great time relaxing. All the girls from our program went except 2 so 22 of us girls were on holiday in Cinque for the weekend. Friday we took an early train and then spent the day exploring the first two of the 5 towns. They have the road of love so we strolled down there and did some love graffiti on the wall alongside everyone else (Ti Amo...you will have to go and find out what I put). Me, Emily, and Anna found this secluded rock beach place where we hung out all afternoon. We were swimming in the Med in October. It was completely satisfying knowing all our friends were just about to take midterms and we were floating in the Med. That night we ate pesto (apparently cinque is where it was created) pizza and sat on the water enjoying a beautiful sunset. It was awesom
e!
Saturday we got up and visited the rest of the towns we had not seen the previous day. We particularly loved the hike from Corniglia to Vernazza. The views were absolutely life changing. It was my favorite hike of all time because it was beautiful the entire way winding along the coast. We made it to the beach (rocks and a little bit of sand this time) and laid out for part of the afternoon. Me, Emily, and Anna ended our day/trip at a great restaurant eating the best pesto overlooking the ocean. I love my life! Sorry for the lack of details but hopefully the pictures will portray the beauty of what I saw.
